Summary

This is a cleaned public LaTeX version of my UPC independent research project. It compares radioisotope power systems and fission power systems with solar power and chemical batteries for long-duration and deep-space missions.

Context

The original essay was submitted for the UCL Undergraduate Preparatory Certificate and selected by faculty as a model project for future cohorts. It is listed here as an archived research-report artifact, not as peer-reviewed engineering research.

Notes on status

The public version preserves the argument structure, references, and reflective component while removing unreproduced document figures from the original assessed submission.
